Manchester City’s successful 2025/26 season received further recognition at the PFA Awards, with Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Nico O’Reilly winning major individual awards.

A further seven City players were selected across the PFA Women’s Super League and Premier League Teams of the Year. The results highlight the depth of talent across both squads and the range of high-profile players available to help Man City partners tell authentic stories around performance, ambition and excellence.

Bunny Shaw named PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year

Bunny Shaw was crowned the 2025/26 PFA Women’s Players’ Player of the Year after another record-breaking campaign in sky blue.

The striker played a pivotal role in City’s historic Women’s Super League and FA Cup double, scoring 27 goals in 32 appearances. She also secured a third consecutive WSL Golden Boot and became the first player in league history to score 20 or more goals in three separate seasons.

Shaw on receiving the award:

“I’m extremely honoured to receive this award and would like to thank everyone who voted for me. Last season was one of the most special in both my career and City’s history, with so many people on and off the pitch contributing to us winning the WSL and FA Cup.”

Nico O’Reilly wins PFA Young Player of the Year

Academy graduate Nico O’Reilly was named the 2025/26 PFA Young Player of the Year, recognising a breakthrough season that established him as one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents.

The 21-year-old made 53 appearances across all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing six assists. His performances helped City win both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, while his ability to contribute in midfield and defence demonstrated his maturity and versatility.

As a City Academy graduate establishing himself at the highest level, O’Reilly’s story reflects the long-term pathways and ambition that sit at the heart of the Club.

O’Reilly on receiving the award:

“I’m hugely honoured and proud to have won this award. To be recognised by your fellow professionals is a great feeling. The Premier League has so many outstanding young players, so to be honoured this way means such a lot both to me and my family.”

Seven City players named in the Teams of the Year

City’s individual honours were matched by further recognition across both squads.

Kerstin Casparij, Yui Hasegawa and Bunny Shaw were selected in the PFA Women’s Super League Team of the Year, while Rayan Cherki, Erling Haaland, Nico O’Reilly and Antoine Semenyo were named in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year.

The breadth of representation highlights the access that partners have to a diverse group of high-performing athletes, spanning established global stars, emerging young talent and the rapidly growing women’s game.
